I am almost finished with this painting for the studio.  My client commissioned a painting from a different pose - but something about this one struck me.  I adore her direct gaze and the way the wind is playing with her hair.  This will be a 36" canvas...just thought I would share!

A Question for You...?

We are in the process of deciding whether or not to produce educational/instructional materials (dvd's, workbooks, etc...).  It would be great if you could post a comment and let us know if this is something that would be helpful.

July 2012 Workshop Dates

The February workshop has been full for some time and I did not announce that here.  I am sorry!  I have received many emails from photographers wanting to participate and asking about the next workshop.  The summer workshop is scheduled to take place July 27, 28 & 29th, 2012.  In order to keep the class productive, I limit the size pretty severely with a max of 8 attendees as of now.  Because of that, it fills pretty quickly.  There are still some open spots open in July as of the writing of this post.

Imaging USA

I am so humbled and pleased to share that two of my portraits are among the 10 finalists for PPA's "Grand Imaging Award" (Portrait Category) in New Orleans this month.  What an honor!  It is also reassuring that timeless work still can be rewarded in the print competition arena.  That is the reason I am sharing the news on this blog - to encourage portrait photographers/artists to continue creating timeless works!
