I am having to run to the next session, but wanted to get at least one image up from this great family. They grow up and up so fast! This pretty girl has left me with some fun memories over the years of working with her. In the days to come I will get some other images posted to go with hers! Love this family!
I am going to post a few more in the days to come from this fun family session. I told her I loved "country roads" and, by golly, she found a great one! The property for these portraits belonged to a good friend of theirs and it was so fun to see..complete with a barn, big porch with white swing, a creek, a garden and a yard filled with the sound of laughing children. Perfection!
This family was so much fun to work with. Here is a tiny sneak peek - but more to follow!
I have been blessed now to have a relationship with some clients for more than ten years. They now know what I know.....this time of year is CRAZY! I am far busier, yet also far more productive than, perhaps, any other time of year. However, many clients and friends have to "hang with me" and trust me...a lot! In the end, it gets done and DONE RIGHT. I am a stickler for quality ("stickler" isn't the prettiest of words, but it is truly far better than other names for someone who wants everything done perfectly!).
I am always loving trying new things and setting new goals. Some of you know that running helps me carry some of the load of this business and the many varied requests that accompany it. Due to an injury a couple of years ago, running had become something I "used to do". But, I picked it back up a few months ago (and am learning the new dance of running through an injury, when to rest it and when to push it) and this last weekend ran my first 13.1 mile distance! I am supposed to run in a half-marathon in two weeks along with 4,999 other runners. But this time it was just me and my Garmin watch and my Lord who heard me pray and pray and pray!
For all of you who are emailing me and wanting workshops, I promise I will get back with you! For all of you who are in this crazy season, too...stay strong and ENJOY it! :)
Now... are these some beautiful boys, or what? (As a mom of boys, I am an eensy-weensy bit partial to these little bodies of energy and motion!)
Okay...well, she is ALMOST 3! She's darling and chock full of attitude and personality. This was definitely a little lady who knew her own mind! Had to share a few...
It has been a while since posting. Things have been just incredibly busy. I will try to catch some sessions up and to at least keep up from here on out! I have been working and running (double digit run tomorrow morning) and being "mom" without too much time to spare. But, I am oh, so blessed to do what I do.
I have been studying lately - kind of revisiting the fundamentals of life that are so important, yet can get forgotten in the busyness. One of the truths I keep reading is that everything good - EVERYTHING - comes from God. We forget to attribute most of the good things to Him because we chalk them up to situations or circumstances and we miss the fact that they were a blessing. This morning's run - 6 miles in 79 degree weather in August - was a blessing...
How much more of a blessing can we have than our children? Don't forget to LOOK at them this week and thank the Lord for them. They are incredible.
Here is one of those blessings...so grown up and headed into her senior year. She has big plans. Here is a tiny sneak peek for those who love her - and who are thankful for her!!!
